Requirements
- Experience building and operating production backend systems in Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Proficiency with TypeScript and React for full-stack development.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, especially in production environments.
- Experience with operational tasks, on-call responsibilities, and service reliability.
- Systems thinking ability to reason about data flow, failure modes, and operational behavior.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with user-centered software development processes.
- Experience using AI coding assistants for development and design iteration.
- Ability to work autonomously and iterate quickly on prototypes.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end across the stack from API and data model design to user-facing workflows.
- Design and evolve core systems, including scheduling, probe lifecycle, and telemetry ingestion.
- Build cross-product and AI-assisted workflows connecting Synthetic Monitoring to the broader Grafana Cloud platform.
- Enable enterprise-scale operation through governance and organizational primitives.
- Break down complex, ambiguous problems into incremental deliverables.
- Ensure system quality through testing, observability, and documentation.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to support services you own.
