Requirements
- Strong experience with Go (or path to it) and building/operating production backend systems.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend application development.
- Experience operating production services with an ownership mindset.
- Systems thinking ability to reason about component interaction, data flow, failure modes, and cost.
- Experience with a user-centered software development process.
- Ability to work independently and break complex problems into incremental, pragmatic solutions.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with effective communication skills.
- Collaborative, friendly, kind, and respectful team-player attitude.
- Clear written and spoken English proficiency.
- Thoughtful and experienced use of AI tools as part of an engineering workflow.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end across the stack, from API and data model design in Go to user-facing workflows in TypeScript/React.
- Design and evolve systems, contributing to architectural decisions on scheduling, probe lifecycle, telemetry ingestion, and API design.
- Build cross-product and AI-assisted workflows connecting Synthetic Monitoring to the wider Grafana Cloud platform.
- Ensure the product is operable at enterprise scale with governance and organization primitives.
- Break down complex, ambiguous problems into incremental deliverables and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Ensure quality through testing, observability, and documentation.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation and take ownership of running services.
