Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering consumer-facing software.
- Track record of managing performance and driving execution through ambiguity.
- Technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
- Experience leading significant end-to-end technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with modern full-stack development, including React or React Native.
- Ability to work in an on-call rotation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Humble, team-first leadership approach.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers, setting clear expectations and developing each engineer.
- Own the team's technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap.
- Empower engineers to hold high design and quality bars through hands-on technical design support.
- Manage the availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call incident response.
- Keep the team shipping in small, incremental sprint-sized milestones.
- Partner across Product, Design, and Analytics teams for cross-functional alignment.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and foster a culture of ownership and transparency.
