Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- In-depth understanding of GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and IAM.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in deploying and optimizing Google Cloud Data services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Firestore, Cloud Bigtable, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
- Skilled in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation.
- Proficient in managing both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong grasp of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead collaborations with architects and teams to design highly scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions on GCP.
- Drive the implementation of advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Spearhead the integration of DevOps methodologies and establish sophisticated CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and enforce stringent security measures and ensure robust compliance with regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
- Architect and establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
- Formulate and oversee comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate performance bottlenecks to optimize infrastructure efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues while providing expert support.
- Drive documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and developers.
