Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in product management within the insurance or employee benefits industry.
- Strong expertise in Group Benefits products and multi-state regulatory environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Deep knowledge of Group Life, AD&D, Disability, and Statutory PFML products.
- Proven experience managing complex product initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Strong understanding of product filings, regulatory interpretation, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders in matrixed environments.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience with agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
- Experience launching products on new administrative or digital platforms.
- Ability to travel approximately 10–15% as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete product lifecycle for Group Life, AD&D, STD, LTD, and Statutory PFML products.
- Drive product strategy, design, positioning, and go-to-market plans.
- Translate regulatory changes and legislative requirements into operational strategies.
- Partner with compliance, legal, and filing teams for product filings.
- Analyze product performance using financial and market data to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Technology teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Group Benefits products.
- Oversee operational readiness for product launches, including system requirements and testing.
- Mentor junior team members and represent the product function to external partners.
