Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in product management within the insurance or employee benefits industry.
  • Strong expertise in Group Benefits products and multi-state regulatory environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of Group Life, AD&D, Disability, and Statutory PFML products.
  • Proven experience managing complex product initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Strong understanding of product filings, regulatory interpretation, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders in matrixed environments.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
  • Experience launching products on new administrative or digital platforms.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10–15% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete product lifecycle for Group Life, AD&D, STD, LTD, and Statutory PFML products.
  • Drive product strategy, design, positioning, and go-to-market plans.
  • Translate regulatory changes and legislative requirements into operational strategies.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, and filing teams for product filings.
  • Analyze product performance using financial and market data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Technology teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Group Benefits products.
  • Oversee operational readiness for product launches, including system requirements and testing.
  • Mentor junior team members and represent the product function to external partners.
