Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships, with proven success selling into retail organizations.
- Deep understanding of retail operations, stakeholder structures, and decision-making processes across channels such as grocery, convenience, discount, and specialty retail.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales quotas and close significant partnership agreements.
- Experience managing complex contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and agreements through final signature.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills with executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate independently, and thrive in an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented environment.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with sales and analytics tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Tableau, and Excel.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for key meetings, industry events, and company gatherings.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through contract negotiation, signature, and implementation handoff.
- Identify, engage, and close new retail partnerships while consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets and business development goals.
- Build strategic account plans by identifying key stakeholders, decision-makers, buying committees, and partnership opportunities.
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand retailer objectives, challenges, and operational requirements, creating tailored value propositions and ROI models.
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, proposals, and partnership strategies for VP and C-level audiences.
- Lead commercial negotiations, including contract terms, revenue structures, placement agreements, service expectations, and other business requirements.
- Monitor retail market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and inform business strategies.
