Requirements
- Extensive experience building production software in modern engineering organizations.
- Strong product thinking and the ability to treat engineers as customers.
- Proven technical judgment in choosing when to build, simplify, automate, or adopt existing solutions.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build foundational systems within a new team.
- Strong skills in building trust through partnership and influence.
- Commitment to engineering craftsmanship, maintainability, and long-term platform health.
- Practical approach to applying AI for improving engineering effectiveness.
- Experience with Developer Experience or Platform Engineering (nice to have).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, release engineering, or developer environments (nice to have).
- Understanding of DORA or SPACE productivity measurement frameworks (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Design and build internal platforms, tooling, and developer workflows that improve the experience of developing, testing, reviewing, deploying, and operating software.
- Identify opportunities where thoughtful platform investments create outsized impact across the engineering organization.
- Build practical AI-powered workflows that help engineers write, review, test, and ship software more effectively.
- Partner closely with product engineering, infrastructure, security, and technical leaders to understand pain points and prioritize platform capabilities.
- Build reusable tools, automation, documentation, and self-service capabilities that provide a trusted, intuitive paved path for engineers.
- Use engineering metrics, developer feedback, and adoption data to measure and improve developer experience.
- Contribute to the technical direction, engineering standards, and long-term evolution of the Developer Experience Engineering team.
