Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or billing.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for tracking aging, reconciling balances, and building simple reports.
- Proven ability to manage a full book of accounts independently.
- Comfortable defaulting to phone calls for faster issue resolution.
- Prompt and professional communication skills across all channels.
- Confident and adaptable in a fast-paced, small team setting.
- Experience in a tech or startup environment is a plus.
- Experience with SaaS or usage-based billing models is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and improve inefficient processes.
Responsibilities
- Own billing-to-cash collection for an assigned book of customer accounts, from invoicing through payment resolution.
- Monitor AR aging balances and proactively follow up on overdue payments before they become collection risks.
- Partner directly with customers to resolve outstanding balances, communicating by phone, email, and video conferencing as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Success and Sales to streamline payment processes and resolve billing friction.
- Support billing operations and help improve invoicing workflows for recurring revenue models, including SaaS subscriptions and usage-based billing.
- Navigate complex customer billing systems to track and resolve account-level discrepancies.
