Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar (California bar membership preferred).
- 8+ years of practicing legal experience.
- Substantive healthcare regulatory and privacy experience (including HIPAA).
- Experience advising healthcare providers, digital health platforms, telehealth businesses, or health plans.
- Experience working in-house or at a major law firm.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multistate or remote clinical/employee workforces.
- Proficiency using artificial intelligence tools responsibly.
Responsibilities
- Advise on federal and state healthcare regulatory matters including telehealth, scope of practice, and corporate practice of medicine.
- Manage privacy, data protection, and security compliance including HIPAA and state-specific laws.
- Partner with People and business leaders on employment, contractor, and workplace policy matters.
- Build and maintain compliance policies, training, risk assessments, and operational controls.
- Serve as a legal partner to Clinical, Operations, Product, Marketing, People, and Executive leadership teams.
