Job Details

10+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, partnerships, or consultative selling.
Proven track record of generating new business and expand relationships with enterprise customers.
Experience managing complex sales opportunities with multiple decision makers.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience collaborating with Directors, Vice Presidents, and executive leaders.
Proficiency in Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and other prospecting tools.
Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Develop and complete a business development strategy that supports revenue growth across Corporate Markets.
Identify new business opportunities and establish connections with employers, educational institutions, workforce organizations, and other partners.
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and existing customer relationships.
Meet with executive leaders to understand workforce challenges and find opportunities to partner with Cengage.
Develop innovative collaboration opportunities that unite multiple organizations around common workforce and education objectives.
Partner with various departments to develop solutions that fulfill customer expectations and facilitate successful deployment.
Track pipeline activity and business development results using Salesforce and other sales tools.
Represent Cengage at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events to build relationships and generate new business.
