Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Experience in owning SEC reporting deliverables (10-K, 10-Q) in a public company or public accounting environment.
- Strong project management skills with ability to drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including research of complex accounting guidance.
- Ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders.
- CPA licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred.
- Proficiency with Workiva Wdesk and NetSuite preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the preparation, review, and filing of GitLab’s SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and S-1.
- Build and drive the quarterly and annual reporting calendar, coordinating cross-functional inputs from Accounting, Legal, FP&A, and Investor Relations.
- Lead the earnings release process, including quarterly management reporting and review of earnings scripts.
- Manage the disclosure checklist and XBRL review process while driving process improvements and automation.
- Ensure compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements, research accounting issues, and support SOX requirements.
- Prepare or review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for stock-based compensation and equity.
