Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience managing availability, cost, and customer-facing surfaces for production services.
- Deep technical fluency in SQL, databases, query optimization, and BigQuery.
- API-first development mindset.
- Proven track record of improving engineering delivery velocity and technical quality.
- Strong philosophy on hiring, coaching, and technical decision-making.
- Excellent judgment and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Direct and candid communication style.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, owning both its delivery and its development.
- Develop engineers through regular 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and direct, candid feedback.
- Write and review code to maintain a credible voice in technical and architectural decisions.
- Drive the team's architectural and technical design decisions in partnership with senior ICs.
- Partner with the Technical Product Owner and Product team to manage scope, sequencing, and roadmap priorities.
- Own hiring, interviewing, and recruiting efforts for the team.
- Uphold engineering standards through thorough pull-request reviews and effective release processes.
