Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related combined role.
- Hands-on experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI compliance audit cycles.
- Strong application security fundamentals: threat modeling, secure code review, and familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and CWE.
- Experience with security tooling (SAST, SCA, DAST, secret scanning, or IaC scanning).
- Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services, including IAM and VPC networking.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline security.
- Proficiency in Python and ability to read backend service code.
- Strong written communication skills for documentation and policy work.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) for automation and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for new features, services, and architectural changes.
- Perform secure code reviews with a focus on authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Deploy and maintain security tooling such as SAST, SCA, DAST, and secret scanning.
- Partner with platform engineering on AWS resource hardening, network segmentation, and environment isolation.
- Drive vulnerability triage and remediation efforts across engineering teams.
- Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI 4.0 audit cycles by gathering evidence and documenting controls.
- Respond to customer and vendor security questionnaires and RFP security sections.
- Contribute to incident response efforts, including investigation and post-incident hardening.
- Maintain security runbooks and improve operational workflows using automation.
