Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI compliance audit cycles.
- Strong application security fundamentals including threat modeling and secure code review.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and CWE vulnerability classes.
- Experience with security tooling such as SAST, SCA, DAST, secret scanning, or IaC scanning.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including IAM and VPC networking.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Strong written communication skills for documentation and policy work.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools for scripting and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for new features, services, and architectural changes.
- Perform secure code reviews and provide actionable feedback on authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Deploy and maintain security tooling across the development lifecycle including SAST, SCA, DAST, and secret scanning.
- Partner with platform engineering on AWS infrastructure hardening, network segmentation, and environment isolation.
- Drive vulnerability triage and remediation efforts across engineering teams.
- Support compliance audit cycles for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI 4.0 by gathering evidence and documenting controls.
- Respond to customer and vendor security questionnaires and RFP security sections.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and manage incident response activities.
