Requirements
- 5+ years of experience hiring and managing operations teams through growth.
- Proven success coaching teams to increase independence and performance.
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Strong operational judgment with experience handling exception-heavy workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to improve SOPs, SLAs, and quality frameworks.
- Experience managing direct vendor relationships in business-critical operations.
- Background in healthcare operations, diagnostics, logistics, or similar environments where accuracy is critical.
- Ability to act as an escalation point for customers.
- Comfortable making decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop a distributed Lab Operations team.
- Plan team capacity and staffing based on order volume demand trends.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including lab result review, order investigations, and issue resolution.
- Maintain high standards for SLAs, quality, and productivity.
- Interface with vendors to troubleshoot issues and streamline interactions.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to resolve complex operational issues.
- Develop and improve SOPs, quality frameworks, and team workflows.
- Identify recurring operational issues and partner with the Systems & Tooling team on automation.
