Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience as a health coach.
- NBC-HWC Board Certified.
- Health coaching certification from an accredited, NBC-HWC-approved training program.
- Expertise in motivational interviewing.
- Deep knowledge of behavior change techniques such as SMART goal setting and assessing stages of change.
- Client-centric mindset with advocacy for member interests.
- Strong ability to thrive in ambiguity and new environments.
- Strong growth-oriented mindset with curiosity to learn and adapt.
Responsibilities
- Apply motivational interviewing as a core part of every member interaction to help members build motivation and commit to change.
- Partner with members to set personalized, sustainable goals and support behavior change.
- Reinforce care plans developed by Registered Dietitians and clinical staff by translating recommendations into daily habits.
- Support members in adopting sustainable, anti-inflammatory lifestyle changes including stress management, sleep, and movement.
- Assess members' stages of change and readiness to adapt coaching approaches accordingly.
- Participate in specialized training in functional health and autoimmune protocols.
- Work cross-functionally with dietitians, clinicians, and the care team to integrate the care model.
