Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience defining technical plans for the delivery of significant features or system components.
- Proven ability to make significant changes in large code bases safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Monitor system metrics and support on-call efforts to maintain service availability.
- Set and improve code review and design standards to foster a culture of quality.
- Develop talent on the team by providing guidance, feedback, and leading by example.
