Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of public relations experience, preferably within an agency environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with various social media outlets (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proactive approach to tasks and project management.
- Tenacious follow-up skills.
- Experience with design platforms such as Canva (preferred).
- Experience with media databases like Cision, Meltwater, or Muck Rack (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Draft media pitches, press releases, website/social media copy, newsletters, and blogs.
- Develop and manage tailored media lists.
- Conduct persistent media follow-up for placements in print, online, and broadcast outlets.
- Contribute to client strategy, brainstorming story ideas, and marketing initiatives.
- Perform multi-platform research, including monitoring competition, trade publications, and industry trends.
