Requirements
- Accounting designation such as CPA or CA.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury-related areas.
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
- Proven experience building tools and processes and scaling an accounting team.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.
- Demonstrated analysis, cash management, and financial modeling experience.
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
- Strategic, goal-driven, and focused with a 'can-do' attitude.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the Bank accounting team, providing strategic direction, recruitment, and coaching.
- Serve as a primary liaison with Affirm, Inc. cross-functional teams to ensure effective service delivery and independent oversight.
- Oversee all monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Develop a controlled regulatory reporting function for filings including FFIEC 041, Part 363, and Federal Reserve reports.
- Coordinate the annual Bank financial statement audit with external auditors.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement tools for accounting and reporting automation.
