Requirements
- 5+ years of professional compliance and data privacy experience.
- 2-3+ years focused within a healthcare environment subject to HIPAA/HITECH.
- Hands-on experience executing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
- Full lifecycle management of privacy incidents or breaches from intake through investigation.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state-level medical privacy regulations.
- Proven collaboration with Information Security or IT teams on risk tracking and security incident review.
- Experience building or improving privacy operational processes, controls, or governance mechanisms.
- Experience in high-growth digital health environments preferred.
- CIPP/US, CIPM, or CHPC certifications preferred.
- Understanding of privacy implications for AI/ML models or clinical workflows.
Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
- Execute incident triage and investigations.
- Ensure vendor practices comply with patient data protection standards.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams on risk tracking.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear, executable workflows.
- Improve privacy operational processes, controls, and governance mechanisms.
