Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–7 years of relevant professional experience with policy analysis, student affairs, compliance, conduct processes, or related areas.
  • Advanced understanding of legal and regulatory issues in higher education, including Title IX, Clery Act requirements, student rights, due process, and accessibility considerations.
  • Experience managing complex, sensitive, and high-profile student conduct cases or investigations.
  • Experience supporting trauma-informed practices and handling cases involving harassment, discrimination, or violence.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience using case management systems and organizational databases, preferably Advocate or similar platforms.
  • Ability to create clear analytical reports, procedures, presentations, and professional communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or a related discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary case manager for complex conduct matters, including sensitive appeals and review processes related to academic integrity, student conduct, and harassment-related cases.
  • Monitor, interpret, and analyze regulatory requirements, including Title IX, the Jeanne Clery Act, Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Drug-Free Schools Act, and evolving state and federal legislation.
  • Evaluate existing policies and procedures, recommend improvements, and support the development of new operational processes.
  • Maintain confidential case files, databases, websites, and supporting documentation while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and manage short- and long-term projects that improve operational effectiveness and institutional processes.
  • Prepare analytical reports, procedural documentation, recommendations, and executive-level communications.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to administrative support staff.
  • Apply trauma-informed approaches and maintain professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential situations.
