Requirements
- 5+ years of backend experience building web applications.
- Strong architecture instincts, including request/response flow and service integration.
- Strong SQL skills, including handling data consistency, indexing, and race conditions.
- Experience working in a spec-driven environment with clear definition of acceptance criteria.
- Fluency in the modern AI engineering stack (LLMs, agents, MCP, coding assistants).
- Experience shipping code with Claude Code or an equivalent AI coding tool.
- Demonstrated experience building or wiring AI into production systems.
- Strong judgment in validating and critiquing model outputs.
- Product sense and ability to work with low-ego in a collaborative team.
- Experience with Python 3, Flask, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Kubernetes, or Vue.js is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own problem spaces end to end: write specs and acceptance criteria, perform architectural reviews, and ship features.
- Build AI-integrated product features, such as transforming email-based airline quotes into structured, bookable data.
- Ensure system reliability and trustworthiness through structured outputs, evaluations, and confidence-gated human review.
- Improve squad AI leverage by refining specs, test harnesses, and review processes.
- Develop self-service tools using Python and Vue.js to enhance internal operational efficiency.
- Maintain high code quality through automated testing, monitoring, and rigorous review discipline.
