Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic business development, partnerships, enterprise sales, or related commercial leadership roles, with significant fintech and payments exposure.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex B2B partnerships with significant commercial impact.
  • Strong executive presence and experience building trusted relationships with C-suite and senior-level decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding of fintech and payments ecosystems, market trends, business models, and partnership opportunities.
  • Proven ability to create strategies, develop processes, and build new capabilities in fast-moving environments.
  • Experience managing or mentoring business development, partnerships, or sales teams, with a passion for developing talent.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience evaluating deal structures, partnership economics, and business value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in travel technology, SaaS, marketplaces, or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full partnership lifecycle, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, contract execution, onboarding, and long-term partner growth.
  • Build and manage a strategic pipeline of high-value fintech and payments opportunities through proactive outreach, market research, and relationship development.
  • Lead complex negotiations with senior executives and key stakeholders to structure partnerships that deliver sustainable business impact.
  • Develop deep market expertise across fintech, payments, competitive dynamics, partnership models, and emerging industry trends.
  • Serve as the primary executive relationship owner for strategic partners, driving retention, expansion, and overall partner success.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Revenue teams to develop tailored partnership strategies and ensure successful execution.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, executive forums, and networking events to strengthen market presence and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and opportunity tracking through CRM tools and business development platforms.
  • Build and scale a high-performing business development function by recruiting, mentoring, and developing future team members.
