Requirements
- Proven experience building recommendation, ranking, search, matching, or propensity systems.
- Demonstrated ability to personally build, validate, monitor, and iterate on models in an operational environment.
- Experience working with version-controlled codebases and collaborating on production implementations.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and experience with Go or TypeScript.
- Experience with API integration (HTTP/gRPC) and streaming.
- Strong product thinking and technical communication skills to explain modeling choices and tradeoffs.
- Ability to take ambitious, ambiguous objectives and define clear sequences of experiments.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system by developing approaches for ranking, candidate selection, and next-best-action.
- Build and operate a real-time recommendation service with end-to-end ownership of model training and serving.
- Define and implement offline, online, and longitudinal metrics to monitor recommendation quality.
- Maintain and iterate on model feature pipelines and architecture.
- Partner with software engineers and data analysts to integrate models into production services safely.
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into testable hypotheses and measurable product decisions.
