Requirements
- Proven experience building recommendation, ranking, search, matching, or propensity systems.
- Strong understanding of personalization science and next-best-action logic.
- Hands-on experience with HTTP/gRPC and streaming architectures.
- Previous experience working in distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Go or TypeScript.
- Demonstrated experience building, validating, and monitoring models in production.
- Ability to work effectively in version-controlled codebases.
- Strong technical communicator capable of explaining complex modeling choices to diverse audiences.
- Experience defining and establishing scientific roadmaps for experimentation.
- Ability to work effectively in high-ambiguity environments and take ownership of technical strategy.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system into a personalized, real-time platform.
- Own a real-time recommendation service, including candidate selection, ranking, and sequencing.
- Build, validate, version, monitor, and iterate on applied models in production environments.
- Define and implement offline, online, and longitudinal measures of recommendation performance.
- Develop feature pipelines and monitor model performance and architecture.
- Collaborate with software engineers to productionize models and integrate them into the recommender service.
- Partner with the Product Analytics team on instrumentation, data quality, and experiment analysis.
- Translate ambiguous objectives into testable hypotheses and measurable product decisions.
