Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or closely aligned engineering discipline, or equivalent industry/military experience.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time, including domestic, international, and vendor factory site visits.
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment including generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers, and air handling units.
- Experience maintaining ownership and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations in multiple jurisdictions preferred.
- Experience working with global data center providers preferred.
- Record of mentoring and growing engineering teams preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement Serverfarm commissioning strategy for L4-L5 activities.
- Enforce rigorous functional performance testing standards for critical infrastructure.
- Validate new equipment and suppliers in collaboration with development teams.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control of commissioning documentation.
- Identify and coordinate training requirements for new equipment and sequences of operations.
- Translate operational requirements into technical project details.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of project data into the commissioning tool.
