Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in the creation of civil land development sheet sets, including grading, site drainage, and access road design.
- Advanced working knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, codes, and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
- Ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems.
- Professional Civil Engineering (PE) licensure is strongly preferred; multi-state licensure is desirable.
- Prior renewable energy, utility-scale solar, BESS, infrastructure, or land development experience.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative approach to project delivery and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities
- Create highly complex civil engineering plans, details, calculations, and documentation including site layouts in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Lead site design including grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and access roads.
- Oversee project portfolios, coordinating schedules, budgets, and proposals.
- Prepare and review project documentation for quality assurance and compliance with industry and jurisdictional standards.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with internal disciplines, clients, permitting authorities, and external partners.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff engineers.
