Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in assessment content development at commercial scale.
- At least 2+ years in a people-management role.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, calibrating, and developing item writers and content leads.
- Multi-subject standards fluency (e.g., CCSS, NGSS, state-specific frameworks).
- Expert understanding of educational assessment design (formative, common, summative, DOK).
- Track record managing freelance contributors and third-party vendors at scale.
- Strong project and production management skills with a focus on delivering against aggressive timelines.
- Experience designing repeatable processes and championing content tooling.
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the assessment content strategy and roadmap in partnership with the Director, Assessment and Analytics Portfolio.
- Drive execution of the content roadmap, including milestones and vendor scopes.
- Manage the assessment content team, including Assessment Content Designers and Contributors.
- Develop and maintain a contributor and vendor quality framework.
- Drive operational excellence by creating repeatable processes and championing tooling.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to train AI models for content generation.
- Ensure content gaps are identified and closed across all academic and non-academic domains.
