Requirements
- 5+ years of experience scaling production Ruby on Rails applications.
- Strong proficiency in GraphQL, including schema design and complexity management.
- Expertise in relational database tuning (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for multi-tenant systems.
- Strong proficiency in modern component frameworks (Vue 3 preferred, SvelteKit or React), TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS.
- Deep experience with AWS services including ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and S3.
- Proficiency with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience designing event-driven architectures with focus on idempotency and eventual consistency.
- Proven track record of technical leadership at the Staff level, including writing ADRs.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools for development and testing.
- Appropriate degree and years of experience (BS+10, MS+5, or PhD+4).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails APIs and GraphQL endpoints integrated with Vue 3/SvelteKit front-ends.
- Architect and optimize event-driven services using EventBridge and SQS for reliable asynchronous processing.
- Manage multi-tenant data strategy across MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- Lead front-end migration initiatives, specifically moving micro-frontends to Vue 3.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, ADRs, and cross-team coordination.
- Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams to translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps.
