Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant education.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in P&C SIU/Fraud investigations or 6 years in a related fraud industry role.
- Ability to obtain a P&C adjuster's license within 90 days of employment.
- Proficiency in gathering evidence and drawing objective conclusions regarding fraud applicability.
- Experience in conducting statements involving multiple parties.
- Knowledge of insurance industry products, services, policy contracts, and internal claims processes.
- Knowledge of state laws, regulations, legal principles, and case law pertaining to insurance fraud.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and treatment practices.
- Experience managing specialty, complex, or litigated claims.
- Proficiency with computer software for data analysis and entry.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Investigate questionable or suspect first or third-party claims by applying knowledge of fraud schemes and strategies.
- Collect evidence of potential fraud through remote interviews, investigative databases, public records, and forensic tools.
- Prepare and present comprehensive written and verbal investigative reports with recommended outcomes.
- Establish and maintain external relationships with industry partners and law enforcement.
- Manage specialty, complex, and litigated claims cases.
- Identify and manage emerging risks related to business activities and fraud.
- Assist in the delivery of fraud awareness training initiatives.
