- Support the educational and behavioral goals of students, with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program.
- Work with classroom teachers to interpret students’ abilities and disabilities and assist with classroom intervention strategies.
- Modify general education curricula as necessary and help students with regular class assignments.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
- Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
- Use research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Serve as case manager for a designated set of students.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders about students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
