Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft data and analytics platforms in production environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI administration, workspace governance, and OneLake architecture.
- Experience building and maintaining data integration pipelines across diverse sources.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, identity management, and security controls.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting, REST APIs, and automation frameworks.
- Experience with data classification, encryption, auditing, and governance best practices.
- Ability to design scalable data solutions while balancing performance, security, and cost.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing initiatives.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools is highly valuable.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Fabric environments, including tenants, capacities, workspaces, OneLake, and Pipelines.
- Manage Power BI environments, focusing on tenant settings, governance, gateways, and semantic models.
- Design and enforce governance standards for content management, reporting, and platform scalability.
- Implement security controls using RBAC, identity management, and least-privilege principles.
- Develop automation for BI operations and CI/CD processes using PowerShell and REST APIs.
- Maintain secure data integration pipelines connecting operational databases and third-party APIs.
- Partner with security teams to define authentication and authorization patterns for sensitive data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and data models.
