Requirements
- 5+ years administering Microsoft data/analytics platforms.
- Hands-on ownership of Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Fabric tenant and capacity administration, workspace governance, and OneLake.
- Experience building data integration pipelines from diverse engineering databases and third-party APIs.
- Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and least-privilege access principles.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security best practices, and Microsoft Purview.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and REST API scripting for automation.
- Ability to translate business requirements and technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Administer Fabric tenants, capacities, workspaces, and the OneLake ecosystem while optimizing for performance and cost.
- Manage Power BI tenant settings, gateways, and semantic model governance to maintain content standards.
- Enforce security and access controls via Microsoft Entra ID and data governance policies using Microsoft Purview.
- Automate operations and support CI/CD for analytics assets using PowerShell, REST APIs, and Power Automate.
- Build and maintain secure data integration pipelines from diverse source systems into the centralized lakehouse.
- Manage the data access layer for BI tools and AI data agents, ensuring secure and auditable resource access.
- Collaborate with IT Security to define authentication patterns and service account management.
- Liaise between IT and business units to translate requirements into technical specifications and data models.
