Requirements
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of related experience.
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma.
- Fluent in English (writing, reading, and oral communication).
- In-depth knowledge of global payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment standards in multiple jurisdictions.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
- Strong proficiency in payroll reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with global EOR payroll models and vendor management.
- Working knowledge of SOX controls, SOC 2 requirements, and payroll audit practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Professional payroll designation is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing for global employees, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Validate and reconcile payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
- Prepare and submit government remittances, statutory filings, and year-end reporting obligations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and as an escalation point for Payroll Coordinators.
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and budget reporting.
- Monitor global payroll legislation and employment standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and maintain adherence to SOX and SOC 2 controls.
- Support system configuration, testing, and payroll modernization initiatives.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job mentoring to Payroll Coordinators and junior staff.
