Requirements

  • Minimum 4 - 6 years of related experience.
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma.
  • Fluent in English (writing, reading, and oral communication).
  • In-depth knowledge of global payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment standards in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with global EOR payroll models and vendor management.
  • Working knowledge of SOX controls, SOC 2 requirements, and payroll audit practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Professional payroll designation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing for global employees, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Validate and reconcile payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
  • Prepare and submit government remittances, statutory filings, and year-end reporting obligations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and as an escalation point for Payroll Coordinators.
  • Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and budget reporting.
  • Monitor global payroll legislation and employment standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and maintain adherence to SOX and SOC 2 controls.
  • Support system configuration, testing, and payroll modernization initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job mentoring to Payroll Coordinators and junior staff.
