Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE.
- Track record of owning technical initiatives end-to-end from design to production.
- Confident Linux skills (Ubuntu).
- Working knowledge of the Prometheus stack (metric types, exporters, alerting).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, pipeline design, build orchestration, and artifact delivery.
- Proficiency with containers (Docker, image building, registries).
- Experience with Ansible and Git.
- Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation.
- Production and on-call experience including incident resolution and post-mortems.
- Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Solid hands-on experience in at least two of: VictoriaMetrics/Prometheus, log pipelines (Graylog/ELK), Jenkins scripted pipelines, container registries, Kubernetes, or Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Own one of our core platform areas end-to-end: observability or CI/CD.
- Drive technical initiatives end-to-end: gather requirements, design, implement, and own operational health.
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations by defining requirements and next steps.
- Design for reliability and scale, evolving architecture, topology, and integration points.
- Support developers by managing deployments on on-premise and Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Automate repetitive operations, provisioning, and maintenance.
- Investigate production incidents, lead post-mortems, and implement systemic fixes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and raise the bar for incident response.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through design discussions, reviews, and pairing.
