Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical roles.
- Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for automation.
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar large-scale data processing platforms.
- Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and API integrations.
- Knowledge of source control (Git), CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience supporting reporting, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives using tools like Power BI.
- Experience with healthcare data and HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and automated data workflows.
- Build and support data lake, data warehouse, Databricks, and analytics platform solutions.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ingest and transform data from internal and external systems.
- Create and maintain analytics-ready datasets and semantic models optimized for Power BI.
- Own operational health of the data platform including monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.
- Establish data engineering standards, best practices, and governance processes.
- Administer database and platform security, including access management and auditing.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver reliable data products.
