Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or relevant experience in Human Resources.
  • 1-3 years of payroll processing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with in-house payroll processing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with US payroll processing across multiple states is an asset.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing ensuring compliance with ICFR controls, payroll tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Enter, update, and validate payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Administer court-ordered payments, garnishments, and various benefit/union deductions.
  • Reconcile and submit government payroll remittances accurately and on time.
  • Support quarterly and year-end activities including T4 and W-2 reporting and ROE generation.
  • Collaborate with HR and respond to employee payroll and benefit inquiries.
