Requirements
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience in Human Resources.
- 1-3 years of payroll processing experience is preferred.
- Experience with in-house payroll processing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with US payroll processing across multiple states is an asset.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing ensuring compliance with ICFR controls, payroll tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Enter, update, and validate payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Administer court-ordered payments, garnishments, and various benefit/union deductions.
- Reconcile and submit government payroll remittances accurately and on time.
- Support quarterly and year-end activities including T4 and W-2 reporting and ROE generation.
- Collaborate with HR and respond to employee payroll and benefit inquiries.
