Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering management leadership experience, ideally in platform reliability or system health.
- Proven experience building or running proactive stability or support programs.
- Ability to distinguish one-off issues from systemic problems and prioritize permanent solutions.
- Practical experience using AI agents to improve team output and workflow.
- Strong negotiation skills to manage scope and ownership boundaries with other teams.
- Technical depth sufficient to review complex work and stay hands-on.
- Experience managing performance, providing direct feedback, and building psychological safety.
- High bar for work quality and demonstrated intensity in problem-solving.
- PHP/Laravel experience is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own stewardship of the application's highest-risk, highest-impact domain areas.
- Build measurement systems to track deployment frequency, commit activity, and support ticket trends.
- Prioritize permanent root-cause fixes over individual ticket resolution.
- Lead first-line triage of engineering support tickets and coordinate routing to appropriate teams.
- Drive team adoption of AI agents for domain maintenance and support triage.
- Represent team health and stability metrics to product and engineering leadership.
- Manage people, including 1:1s, feedback, growth, and performance.
- Maintain hands-on technical involvement to support the team and review code.
