Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial management, business, English, history, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience performing federal grants accounting or management functions.
  • Experience reviewing awardee policies and records for compliance with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance).
  • Knowledge of federal grant accounting principles including cost allowability, indirect costs, and internal controls.
  • Experience as a Management Consultant to federal clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance if required by the client.
  • Must pass post-hire background screening checks.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review audit reports, Single Audits, and other documentation to determine management decisions.
  • Evaluate audit findings, questioned costs, and corrective action plans for alignment with federal regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of awardee financial and administrative systems.
  • Perform advanced cost analysis and negotiations for pre- and post-award monitoring.
  • Provide technical assistance to awardees through conference calls and policy reviews.
  • Edit and finalize reports summarizing analysis results.
  • Recommend improvements to work processes and assist in updating standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training to project staff on grants management topics.
