Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial management, business, English, history, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience performing federal grants accounting or management functions.
- Experience reviewing awardee policies and records for compliance with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance).
- Knowledge of federal grant accounting principles including cost allowability, indirect costs, and internal controls.
- Experience as a Management Consultant to federal clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance if required by the client.
- Must pass post-hire background screening checks.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Review audit reports, Single Audits, and other documentation to determine management decisions.
- Evaluate audit findings, questioned costs, and corrective action plans for alignment with federal regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of awardee financial and administrative systems.
- Perform advanced cost analysis and negotiations for pre- and post-award monitoring.
- Provide technical assistance to awardees through conference calls and policy reviews.
- Edit and finalize reports summarizing analysis results.
- Recommend improvements to work processes and assist in updating standard operating procedures.
- Develop and deliver training to project staff on grants management topics.
