Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record managing multiple teams or a team of teams simultaneously.
- Architect-caliber technical depth in billing systems, API design, and product infrastructure.
- Experience with Node.js/TypeScript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with Stripe or equivalent payment infrastructure.
- Comfortable working in a high-growth startup environment.
- Player-coach mindset with a willingness to get hands dirty.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow engineering leads for Merchants Core and Merchants Growth teams.
- Own architectural decisions across billing, invoicing, checkout, dashboard, and delivery promise engine.
- Drive sprint health, backlog quality, and delivery predictability across two teams.
- Maintain balance between KTLO/reliability work and feature development.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and the data team to translate strategy into technical roadmaps.
- Work with Head of Engineering on organizational structure, hiring, and technical strategy.
