Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (audit) and/or technical accounting/consolidations experience in industry
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including consolidation principles (ASC 810) and intercompany accounting
- Experience researching and writing technical accounting memos
- Comfort operating independently on ad hoc, ambiguous, or fast-turnaround requests
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems (Oracle FCCS/EPM experience a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPA preferred
Responsibilities
- Own and improve the intercompany accounting process, including elimination entries, intercompany reconciliations, and resolution of out-of-balance issues across entities
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process in Oracle FCCS/EPM (or equivalent consolidation tool), including data loads, translation, and consolidation adjustments
- Research and draft technical accounting memos on complex or non-routine transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, equity, business combinations, new arrangements)
- Take on ad hoc projects, process improvements, and special analyses as they arise
- Assist with external audit requests related to consolidation and technical accounting areas, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor questions
- Identify and help implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the consolidation and close processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Revenue Accounting, Treasury, and other Accounting teams to ensure consistent treatment and resolve cross-entity issues
- Stay current on new and evolving GAAP guidance and assess impact on the consolidation process and financial statements
