Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of work experience.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- CPB Certification required.
- Experience billing on multiple payers or proven status as a subject matter expert on one payer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills.
- Pass a typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
- Ability to provide a mock training session for interviewers.
- Inquisitive mindset with openness to innovation and AI for process improvement.
- Commitment to obtain Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within 9 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Review and update failed bills and claims on host systems and within billing vendor platforms.
- Resolve daily electronic claim submissions and monitoring claim errors.
- Process late charges and rebills daily.
- Prepare hardcopy claims with necessary documentation for payment.
- Retrieve EOBs and Medical Records as needed for claims.
- Coordinate with patients, insurance companies, and third parties to obtain billing information.
- Develop training documentation and provide staff education and testing.
- Cover absentee staffing desks as needed.
