Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in similar roles, with 4-5 years of sales experience in an agency, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment.
- 3 years of management responsibility or equivalent training and experience.
- Proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Experience with medical or commercial communications or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Exceptional people management and mentoring experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client relationship building.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Expertise in web-conferencing tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to cultivate and close business opportunities with new pharmaceutical and biotech accounts.
- Conduct research and networking to discover and penetrate new accounts.
- Establish professional relationships with client stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers.
- Develop and deliver creative client presentations and proposals that showcase agency capabilities.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, needs analysis, proposal, closing, and implementation.
- Create and execute a sales plan with strategies and supporting metrics.
- Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure client expectations are met and provide hand-offs.
