Requirements
- State registration as a Pharmacy Technician required.
- 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and extract relevant information.
- Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with physicians, nurses, or in a medical clinic is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain necessary state licensure within an agreed timeframe if not currently held.
Responsibilities
- Make assigned outbound patient refill phone calls and complete requests in a timely manner.
- Answer, resolve, and triage inbound pharmacy inquiries.
- Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
- Coordinate medication refills including data entry and correct days-supply calculations.
- Manage claim adjudication, troubleshooting, and reject codes.
- Partner with pharmacy staff to maintain correct medication inventory levels.
- Identify medications requiring special storage, handling, or specific supplies.
- Document work accurately across all systems and maintain confidential records.
