Requirements
- Florida state registration as a pharmacy technician.
- Active national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA/ExCPT).
- 1-3 years of experience adjudicating pharmacy claims.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift scheduled between 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM ET.
- Strong interpersonal communication and phone skills.
- Ability to adapt to unique internal database tools.
- Experience managing refills, specialty pharmacy work, or clinical care team support is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Proactively coordinate medication refills including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication.
- Make outbound patient refill phone calls and complete the patient refill request.
- Answer, resolve and triage inbound inquiries from patients, providers, and pharmacy teams.
- Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians.
- Identify medications requiring special storage, such as hazardous or refrigerated items.
- Manage and update data using database applications while maintaining confidentiality.
- Apply observations to recommend operational and quality improvements.
