Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active U.S. bar membership.
- 4+ years of legal experience, including a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
- Experience in healthcare technology, digital health, or related regulated industries.
- Strong expertise in privacy and data security matters (HIPAA, state consumer privacy laws).
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations (FDA, CMS requirements).
- Familiarity with FDA guidance for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and state Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) laws.
- Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements with healthcare providers, payors, and enterprise customers.
- Ability to provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice.
- Interest in leveraging AI and technology to improve legal workflows.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage diverse commercial agreements such as SaaS, MSA, SOW, BAA, and DPA.
- Partner with sales teams to accelerate deal cycles while managing legal, regulatory, and privacy risks.
- Act as the primary legal point of contact for commercial matters and provide practical advice to internal stakeholders.
- Advise on healthcare technology, data privacy, product development, and regulatory matters including HIPAA and FDA requirements.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and clause libraries.
- Improve legal operations by identifying workflow efficiencies and implementing AI-powered legal technology tools.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Security teams on technology and data initiatives.
