Requirements
- Several years of hands-on payroll experience covering both the Netherlands and Belgium.
- Strong knowledge of local payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to end-to-end payroll implementation projects.
- Strong expertise with Dutch payroll software, including AFAS.
- Familiarity with EasyPay for Belgian payroll is highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of payroll reconciliations, parallel payroll runs, and payroll validation.
- Excellent project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Dutch and/or French language skills are considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end payroll implementation projects for the Netherlands and Belgium, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely client onboarding.
- Act as the subject matter expert for local payroll legislation and processes across both Employer of Record (EOR) and Global Payroll services.
- Participate in client discovery sessions, sales handovers, project kick-offs, and implementation planning to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage the full implementation lifecycle, including configuration, payroll data validation, parallel runs, first live payroll, and operational handover.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, payroll software providers, and internal stakeholders throughout each implementation.
- Configure and validate payroll data within payroll systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and business requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, standard operating procedures, implementation plans, and process records.
- Monitor implementation milestones, KPIs, and SLAs while proactively identifying and resolving risks.
- Support continuous process improvements, platform enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and documentation updates.
- Mentor Payroll Generalists and contribute to knowledge sharing across the wider payroll team.
