Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manager or senior manager leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Demonstrated experience operating within a SOX-controlled environment and supporting internal and external audits.
- Experience managing accounting operations across cash and treasury, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, software capitalization, leases, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems, ideally NetSuite, and close management platforms such as FloQast.
- Proven ability to improve accounting processes through automation, workflow optimization, and operational enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and provide clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and non-finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly and quarterly close activities across multiple entities, ensuring timely completion, accurate reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Lead end-to-end general ledger operations, including review of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting documentation.
- Manage close processes using close management tools, ensuring task ownership, progress tracking, issue resolution, and final approvals.
- Oversee key accounting areas including cash and treasury, intercompany transactions, software capitalization, leases, and balance sheet activities.
- Maintain and strengthen SOX controls by ensuring proper documentation, evidence collection, testing support, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors on walkthroughs, testing activities, remediation efforts, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to automate and optimize accounting workflows, systems, and reporting processes.
- Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members through coaching, feedback, goal setting, and professional growth opportunities.
