Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated experience managing accounting operations.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
  • Experience leading teams through coaching, development, and operational support.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, and financial analysis.
  • Strong ability to prepare and review reconciliations, financial records, reports, and variance analyses.
  • Experience improving accounting processes through automation, technology adoption, or workflow optimization.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a changing environment.
  • Experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite and procurement tools such as Zip is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, aging reviews, and month-end accrual activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team by setting goals, providing feedback, and managing daily operations.
  • Prepare month-end reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reviews to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls focused on fraud prevention and transaction compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize accounting workflows through process improvements and technology solutions.
  • Manage purchasing card and travel & expense programs to ensure policy compliance.
  • Coordinate vendor payment execution and support vendor management activities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and maintaining controls.
  • Partner with finance leadership on shared services initiatives and strategic projects.
