Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer building and shipping production software.
- Generalist capability comfortable moving across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data or billing pipelines.
- Deep, hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails in production.
- Working fluency across Python, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, and HTML/CSS.
- Proven track record of owning problems end to end from ideation to completion.
- Strong judgment in applying AI tooling to development workflows.
- Openness to adopting new tools as required.
- Ability to work on a small, distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve products for a wide range of nonprofit organizations.
- Create responsive interfaces and APIs that drive customer adoption and retention.
- Contribute high-quality, thoroughly tested code across resilient backends and user interfaces.
- Own problems end to end, managing complexity from ideation through shipped, reliable solutions.
- Utilize AI tooling with strong judgment while maintaining ownership over code quality and maintainability.
- Partner with product, sales, support, and content teams to enhance internal tools.
- Uphold quality standards and mentor newer engineers.
